John C. Stubblefield of the band Lucero is our guest on the show today. The band released Women and Work this year on ATO Records, joining the ranks of Drive By Truckers and My Morning Jacket. The album is a love letter to their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee; a town seeped in a rich musical history that include Elvis, Stax Records, Sun Records and Jeff Buckley. John discusses the nature of life on the road with the band as well as life off the road. Other topics include the early days of Lucero and how much the musical culture of Memphis has influenced the band and John himself.
